ADDINGTON PALACE
One of the first things a bride things about when planning her big day is the wedding venue. Addington Palace in South London probably has everything a bride is looking for. Addington Palace has two unique venues: the Palace itself and the Royal Marquee, is a permanent structure in the extensive and well-groomed grounds of the Palace. Along with venue’s fantastic setting there is plenty of space for parking and exclusive use of the grounds for spectacular wedding photography.
Catering, too, has been thought of, with the chef able to cater for Asian, Caribbean and Mexican cuisine. You can find out more details by logging on to the link below. www.richardliston.com

RAMADA NEWBURY PARK
At a recent wedding I had the pleasure of photographing at the 18-century Ramada Newbury Elcot Park a splendid Georgian Manor House set in 16 acres of landscaped gardens and parkland, which was once the family home of the celebrated romantic poet, Percy Shelley. The couple, Karen and Lloyd, were so thrilled with the venue they even returned to the venue for their first anniversary.
Set in landscaped grounds with wonderful vistas of the countryside, this grand old house is a photographers’ dream – you can’t fail to take stunning images here. www.richardliston.com

PEMBROKE LODGE
As a wedding photographer you are fortunate enough to work in some of the best venues around and these venues can inspire you to better picture-taking. One of the first venues I worked in was Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park, a splendid Georgian mansion that remains one of my favourite places to work. Weddings there are a pleasure because the grounds and the lodge itself are so spectacular, with so many romantic hideaways and open vistas to the west that it would be difficult not to take outstanding images. www.richardliston.com

GRIM’S DYKE COUNTRY HOTEL
Nothing beats a wedding with a theme and theatre was the setting for Nic and Kate’s wedding I photographed at Grim’s Dyke country hotel. I could not help but get lost in the ambience of the magnificent former country residence of Sir William Gilbert, one half of the extraordinary dramatists, Gilbert and Sullivan. Grim’s Dyke country hotel is only 12 miles outside central London but it feels a world away with its grand staircase, a beautiful setting for any bride, and its gardens. As perfect as one of Sir Gilbert’s operas.
BEAUBERRY HOUSE
Here are some images taken at Beauberry House recently when I was working with Mark Hughes as a second photographer at the wedding of Cherilee and Shaun. Built in 1875 and extensively refurbished in 2004, this splendid pile in Dulwich in south London was voted best UK wedding venue in 2009. I can’t argue with that. Everywhere you go there are great places to photograph the happy couple, like this spiral staircase.
